Ya/ they asking why you even bother?/ what's the point of more theology huh?/ if I wanna hear bout that I'll go listen to Washer/ or maybe Sproul/ well I appreciate the honesty but/ honestly/ i feel we've left out theology proper/ I'm just some clay trying to show the potter/ not a scholar/ I'm just here on display/ like a couple words on the page/ I just pray that you can see the author/ the Father of lights/ ya/ if you looking you could peep it in the book of James/ he came and changed my impoverished life/ irresistibly drawn cuz it was his sovereign right/ and he ain't have to turn around and try to ask for permission/ he was active/ I was passive/ soul was happy imprisoned/ used to love the casket/ now my soul is gladly arisen/ changed my heart of stone to flesh/ that's a lasting incision/ but what's that got to do with you huh?/ or a project like this one/ cats be screaming "we already got the truth son"/ they just hoping that I would spit sum'n/ im trying to stir you by way of reminder ya/ cuz it's right as long as I'm in this body homie/ divinely designed/ but point to the designer/ providing the provider/ and praying that ain't nobody on me/ tell em to get their mind right/ he is infinite/ your homie here is finite/ he's the high life/ one look will blind your eye sight/ highlight/ found in him/ so I could behold the limelight/ but let's get right to the topic/ are the issues that serious?/ they seem so microscopic/ don't you think it's blown a little out of proportion/ a little bit less important than dividing over doctrine/ no/ it sounds dramatic at first/ don't brush it off as nothing more than a passionate verse/ say I'm erratic/ a fanatic/ while over half are dispersed and can't tell the difference between a Protestant and Catholic Church/ we went from battling pressure/ to abandoning the system now we're branded as lesser/ but what we gained was far better/ a compassionate treasure/ but some demand that we recant and start banding together/ man/ for the sake of the culture/ I guarantee that this'll be viewed as hostile/ but what do doves have to do with the vultures huh?/ or the body of Christ with another gospel/ Paul said to let that man be accursed/ I ain't the type of guy to turn and disagree with the Apostles/ Catholicism claimed to handle him first/ but all their unbiblical doctrines present to us a problem/ they claim tradition was known/ but church history can show it was additional though/ we all seem to go through different transitional flows/ that's why the foundation for us must be scripture alone/ in every matter regarding our faith and practice/ and Jesus Christ alone is our way of access/ not by our works/ but faith alone/ we ain't deserve a second chance/ it's by grace alone/ and that's what sets us apart/ but let's go deeper for a minute/ chin up/ and I hope your listening/ it was never bout necessity of grace/ we both affirm that truth/ it's all about the sufficiency/ that there is what displaced the church/ cuz is it grace alone/ or is it grace plus works/ is it faith alone/ or is it faith plus merit/ they claim a treasury of that/ you gotta pray that they'll share it/ but in the end we see that glory is robbed/ the sum of everything we hold is for the glory of God/ alone/ in the end we see that glory is robbed/ the sum of everything we hold is for the glory of God
